Me and Keeks have this earring from the fairies, you can wear it and it holds onto the spell for you so you don't need all the focus. There's stuff a bit like it in our home, just not exactly, and it's really rare and expensive to get, so I guess we're still drawing on stuff we know.

Yeah! I've got some magic that I don't have back home, but it's mostly stuff I could theoretically learn. But I know there's people from worlds that have no magic at all that have spells from my world and stuff like that.

It's good so far. It's...like a vacation, you know? I don't necessarily wanna live here but it's nice to visit.

That's good to know! It took me, like... god, almost ten years to figure that much out, so you're moving quicker than I did. [It's the sweetest response that Rowan's ever had to that awkward conversation, and they don't mind admitting it to someone who might understand some of what it meant to them.]

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I miss home, and I'm pissed they decided to take stuff from me, but I'm always one to make the best of a situation anyway.
